Why we don’t include nutritional information in our recipes
We’ve decided to stop including nutritional information in our recipes. There are a few reasons for this, including:
- Calorie counting has its advantages but can also encourage disordered and obsessive behaviour for some people. So we’d rather stay on the safe side.
- The automated nutritional information more often than not was inaccurate. And many of our readers stated the calculation was wrong or were shocked with the number of calories in some of the recipes as a result of these inaccuracies.
If you are interested in calculating the nutritional content for our recipes, there are many apps that can do that for you. Here’s just a few you can look into (if you don’t already have one).
- Cronometer
- My Fitness Pal
- My Plate Calorie Counter
- Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker
- Nutrients
Note: We haven’t personally used these apps and have no affiliations with them.
Simply input all the ingredients from the recipe and it will calculate it for you.
